Busy does not always mean profitable.

Your business shouldn’t need you for everything.

For owners of established Australian businesses who want a clearer picture and a more manageable day.

More sales. Less left over.

You can’t see which jobs, products or services make money after costs.

The same problems keep coming back.

Delays, rework and unclear roles keep pulling you into the day-to-day.

The information is everywhere.

Accounts, spreadsheets and staff updates each tell part of the story.

The Business Health Check

Business Health Check: find out what needs fixing first.

A fixed-scope check of your financials, cash, costs and market position. You’ll see where money is made, where it’s leaking and what to tackle first.

  • A clear financial picture. Your accounts, cash and costs, with any gaps in the information flagged.
  • Numbers in context. IBISWorld industry benchmarks alongside your own trading history.
  • A 90-day action plan. Prioritised actions, owners and measures, walked through in a findings meeting.

$4,500 one-off, excluding GST

Discuss your Health Check

A standalone service with no obligation to continue. Prices in AUD. We agree the scope, timing and fee before starting.

Want help acting on the plan? Virtual CFO support picks up from there.

We start with your financials, turn the findings into a plan and help you track what improves.

  1. Understand

Review your financials and compare results with similar businesses.

  2. Improve

Find changes to pricing, costs and daily work. Give each action an owner.

  3. Stay in control

Agree measures and targets, then review them in one useful view.

  4. Plan what’s next

Growth, succession or a future sale. Use customer feedback and market research to choose your direction.

Start with what needs attention now. You don’t need to commit to the whole journey.

Dashboards and business systems, without checking everything yourself.

See what each job costs, where your team’s time goes and how sales are tracking, in a view you share with your adviser.

Systems, dashboards and optional AI assistants are separately agreed projects—not a requirement for advice. We start with the tools you already use.

Virtual CFO and advisory questions

What is a Virtual CFO (or fractional CFO)?

A Virtual or fractional CFO is a senior finance professional who works with your business part-time. You get regular financial review and decision support without employing a full-time CFO.

What does a Virtual CFO do for a small or medium business?

Reviews profit, cash and costs each month, plans cash flow, and helps with decisions like pricing, hiring and spending. You and your team lead the changes; we advise and track progress.

How much does a Virtual CFO cost?

Ongoing support starts from $3,000 a month excluding GST, with a 6-month minimum term, and includes the Business Health Check. See pricing for what’s included.

Do I need a Health Check first?

It’s the usual starting point, so the advice is based on your actual numbers. It’s also available on its own, with no obligation to continue.

Do we need to change accountants?

No. We work alongside your existing accountant or bookkeeper, with your permission. If you need bookkeeping or tax support, that is a separate service.

Do you also do accounting and tax?

Yes, through NeoRise Advisory Pty Ltd, a separate registered tax agent practice, under its own engagement. You can use it on its own, with advisory, or keep your current accountant.

Who carries out the changes?

We prepare the plan, advise on decisions and review progress. You and your team lead operational changes. Your sales and marketing team or providers execute the growth plan. Building systems or dashboards is agreed separately.

Do we need new software or an AI assistant?

Only where it is useful. We start with your existing tools. A simple reporting view may be enough.

Can you help me prepare for succession or a future sale?

Yes. We help you get exit-ready: reliable records, documented processes, clear responsibilities and less reliance on you. We don’t value businesses or act as a broker.

What if our bookkeeping needs work?

We identify the important gaps and work with your bookkeeper or accountant on what needs correcting. We may also need extra information, such as time or materials recorded against jobs.

How do you compare us with other businesses?

We use relevant industry research and benchmarks, including our IBISWorld subscription. We check how comparable the businesses and measures are, then agree targets that make sense for you.

What does it cost?

It depends on the Health Check, advice or systems work you need. We agree a clear proposal before work begins. See advisory pricing.

Let’s talk about your business.

Tell us what keeps coming back to you. We’ll discuss whether a Business Health Check is the right starting point.

The first call is a free 20-minute conversation, with no documents needed. Any paid work is scoped and agreed afterwards.

Please do not send tax file numbers, bank details or other sensitive records.

We reply by email within one business day.
